2nd Saturday in July Paints the Town Purple

Downtown Manchester’s 2nd Saturday in July event will have a colorful twist thanks to a partnership with the local chapter of Relay for Life, a branch of the American Cancer Society. Purple ribbons, balloons, and messages of hope will be displayed in storefronts and along downtown Main Street in Manchester. The goal of a Paint the Town Purple event is to raise funds and awareness of cancer in our community. The Downtown District is proud to support this effort in coordination with 2nd Saturdays Downtown.

Visit Downtown Main Street on Saturday, July 10th, from 10am to 1pm to participate in family-friendly activities. Activities will include an opportunity to spread hope or honor a loved one with chalk art, add your purple handprint to the Relay for Life banner, participate in a Story Walk about sun safety, and enter to win prizes!

This is a fun, easy, and creative way to make people aware that Relay For Life is happening right here in Manchester, the many services offered by the American Cancer Society, and to show support for those battling the disease,” said Leslie Juliani, volunteer chairperson for Paint the Town Purple and ECHN Oncology Nurse Navigator. “It’s wonderful to partner with local businesses and be out in the community. No one must face cancer alone. We cannot wait to Paint the Town Purple!”

This is also a 2nd Saturday Downtown!
Visit the MACC Farmer’s Market in the Forest Street Lot from 8 am to 12:30pm. Enjoy live music organized by Imagine Main Street.
