Parking Downtown

With nearly 900 public parking spaces available, there’s always a place to park Downtown.

On-Street Parking: Free with a 2-hour time limit.
Parking Lots: Free for up to 3 hours, or park all day for just $2.

FREE On-Street Parking

Ample free on-street parking is available on Main Street and nearby side streets. Main Street parking is intended for customers making quick visits to local businesses, so there is a 2-hour time limit. Vehicles that exceed this limit may receive a ticket.

If you plan to spend more time downtown, please park in one of the off-street lots.

Note: Tickets are no longer automatically waived for customers. Appeals must be submitted through the Manchester Police Department.

FREE Parking in Lots

There are 7 off-street parking lots in the Downtown District, each identified by a color-coded sign system (see map below).

Three lots offer all-day free parking.
The remaining four lots allow up to 3 hours of free parking. Vehicles that exceed the posted time limit may receive a ticket.

Note: Tickets are no longer automatically waived for customers. Appeals must be submitted through the Manchester Police Department.

Pay to Stay All Day

Planning to stay longer than three hours? We’re glad you’re spending time Downtown!

You may park in one of the three all-day free lots and stay as long as you like at no cost. For a more convenient location, you can park in any other color-coded lot for just $2 per day.

Simply download the mobile payment app, note your zone number (posted in each lot and shown on the map below), and pay for your all-day parking directly from your phone.

Parking Tip: Start a Session
Anytime you park in a color-coded lot, we encourage you to start a parking session for free. Simply open the mobile payment app on your phone, choose your Zone, and start your session (FREE). You will receive a notification before your free time expires, giving you the option to add a payment in order to avoid a ticket!
